Monty Montgomery and the Izaak Walton League
Monty Montgomery is the chairman of the Oregon Division of the Izaak Walton League’s Public Lands Restoration Task Force. Monty’s work with federal agencies and their permittees can be credited as a major factor in improvement of an estimated 5 million acres of rangeland. In Oregon, he has aided in changing the federal land management policy from an emphasis on commodity production, to range restoration.
